On unit 3, I have scored myself as 8, 7, 7 respectively (physically, psychologically, and spiritually).
Now I can confidently score myself as 9, 9, 9 respectively (physically, psychologically, and spiritually).
I can measure it because I now have a schedule for exercise during the week, and if for some extenuous circumstances I miss a session, I make it up. I take longer to choose my food, and try to discipline my eating habits. I sit by myself once a week to meditate and review my success and failure during the week, and learn from it. I do have better relationship of others, because this course has taught me to analyze people not just from my perspective and beliefs, but to also take into consideration others beliefs and perspectives. This move has enhanced both my interpersonal and professional relationships.
This course has been tremendously helpful to my development both on a personal and professional level. It has made me take conscious of the existed capacities that were hidden within me.
I also thank the professor and evryone of you, because I have learned from each of you.
Good luck to everybody.

Unit 9 Post
UNIT 9 PROJECT
School: Kaplan University
Instructor: Mark Maule
Student: Veline Fontaine
Answer 1)
Health and Wellness professionals
are a role model for the population to whom they provide services. Developing physically, psychologically, and
spiritually benefit both clients and health professionals, because such
development give them confidence in their work, and the clients are convinced
about what you are doing for them. It is
obvious that “One cannot take others where one has never been, Dacher (2006). Health professionals must experience the
physical, psychological, and spiritual benefits in order to pass them on. To
achieve the goals you have developed for yourself you need motivation and
discipline. Without a sense of
motivation and discipline, you are bound to a scattered work which will result
in mediocrity. The area I need to work
on to fully achieve my goals is motivation and a sense of discipline, because
without them, I will definitely have a hindrance to achieve my highest
potential, because it comes step by step.
Answer 2)
Physically,
I assess myself by my weight as well as from a microscopic level, meaning that
I look up to my lab results to see if my electrolytes are in balance. This assessment gives me an idea of my health
condition, and how to continue to go about it.
I also assess myself physically, by my capacity to do activities within
a time frame limits, comparing to the hours of sleep I get.
Psychologically,
I look at my relationship with others, and how I handle difficulties or
conflict time. According to how I handle
the situation and the outcome, I know whether I am on the right path or not,
although it is not easy, because our bias nature tends to get on our way.
Spiritually,
I assess myself by the harmony that exist between me and my inner self, how
peaceful I am about my life and my surroundings. How do I react face to the world, how
confident I am about myself and toward my relationship with the world. From a
scale of “0 to 10” with 10 being the highest,
I score myself 6, 7, 7 respectively (physical, psychological,
spiritual).
Answer3)
My goal is
to have enough discipline into having a scheduled time for my physical
exercises, to use regular practices on a daily basis such as “Meditation” for
my spiritual life, and to enhance my practice of loving-kindness toward others
without bias in order to reach my potential for integral health. However, I need to broaden my source of
motivation in order to be successful into achieving my goals.
Answer 4)
My strategy
will be to implement a physical practice like exercises to enhance my physical
well-being while nourishing me mentally as well. A psychological practice that
will nourish my mind into positive perception, as well as a spiritual practice
like “Meditation to nourish the soul, because we are made of body, mind and
soul. We need the three of them to
achieve integral health. One doesn’t go without the other, and otherwise, we
would lose the real purpose of life.
Taking care of one and neglecting the other is a hindrance to total
development.
Answer5)
In the next
six months, I will do a reassessment from the same methods I have already
mentioned above to see if my strategy has worked toward progress, or whether I
have regression. I will do so by looking
at where I am and where I have been six months ago. This review will also give
me the opportunity to assess my own ability for self-strategy, or whether I
will need an outsider eye to guide me into achieving my goals.

UNIT 8 POST
I have chosen "Loving Kindness" and "Meditation".
I believe that practicing loving kindness is also a self-healing process, because as you love, forgive, and being grateful, you are healing yourself because those actions bring peace of mind, happiness which are the doors steps to integral health.
I have also chosen "Meditation" because it allows me to be self-criticism, removing all bias in my jugdment toward myself and the world, which is a practice that is aimed to make us a better person both to ourself and to the world.

Answer 1
This experience on "Meditation" has done nothing to me but only good. This practice has allowed me to review my life in details, reading between the line and separate unnecessary thoughts to mindful and constructive ones. We have the tendency to see and hear what we want to see or hear, and ignore the absolute truth that needs to be faced so that we can attain the next level of psychological and spiritual wellness. Meditation allows us to see the plain truth, face our fears, and enjoy what is awaiting for us.
We can take time out to meditate, find peace and harmony that lead to spiritual and psychological wellness.
Answer2
"One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" is a very deep statement, because it embraces our whole existence. You cannot love another if you don't love yourself, it is just not working. Professionals have an obligation to develop their health physically, psychologically, and spiritually so that the benefits of such state can speak to the client without you having to say it. Children are our best teachers, if we learn from them, it is possible to have wisdom. We just to be role model for them, and they will automatically follow us, so will be our clients. There are many practices we can implement in our life to promote psychological and spiritual growth. We can use Meditation, Yoga, Body Fitness exercises to improve our psychological and spiritual growth.

Unit 6 Post
Honestly,
As I was completing the "Loving Kindness" exercise, I felt that as I was extending my thoughts toward others, I was healing my own self into reaching the deeper part of myself. As I was repeating freedom for all, I felt the freedom itself shower upon me. This experience truly proves me that life is like a "Boomerang", you get back what you have thrown.
From the "Integral Assessment", I have chosen that my "Interpersonal life" needs further development. I have always been a sensitive person who loves to help out others in all capacities within my power, but I have a burden which sometimes cut the bridge along the way if I get negative feedback. I must learn to embrace all wrong doings, ungratefulness, and engulf them in my ocean of loving-kindness, and witness my expansion of the interpersonal aspect of my life.

unit 5 Q #2
There is direct link between spiritual wellness to mental and physical wellness. I want to take a simple example on our daily life. When you feel at peace with your spirit, maybe from falling in love, if you are a student, you tend to understand the material with a better clarity, and your face glows to a dimension of supernatural power. We are body, mind, and soul, and the connection between the three is unbreakable. Should one try to break the link, he should be ready to witness the decline in the quality of life also, because the bound between the three makes the essence of life itself.
Unit 5 Post
When I compare "The Loving-Kindness" and "The Subtle Mind" exercise, I find their similarity in the fact that they get the mind to work out. While 'The Loving Kindness Exercise" embraces you and the environment, putting you at a level to wipe out all negative forces of hatry both from the environment or for the environment, "The Subtle Mind" kind of having you to focus on your own personal thoughts. It helps you to classify your thoughts in a pattern, instead of having it wandering without a specific purpose. I would say in conclusion that "The Loving Kindness" embraces you and your environment, while "The subttle Mind" embraces you and your personal inner self.

UNIT 4 POST
Hello everyone, I would like to say that my experience was great, all the way long, I just felt a transformation in my inner self that only me could fully understand, because I don't really have the words to describe it exactely the way I feel. It was truly beneficial, and I do recommend it to anyone, because the more we are, the better will be the world.
The concept of "Mental Work Out" is to have the habit to cultivate the mind, search its unlimited harvest, because everything is there to our service, we just have to search for them and find them. It takes practice, because just the way our body feels when first start exercises, and over time we can do without exercise because it feels so good, so does the mind at the begining, but nothing good comes easy, it demands discipline and perseverance.

UNIT 3 (ANSWERS)
Hello everyone,
On a scale of 1 to 10 , I rate myself an 8 physically, a 7 spiritually, and a 7 psychologically. I rate myself so because physically, I could have implement more healthy habits to enhance my well-being as well as spiritually, and psychologically.
The goal I want to develop for myself in these areas are the following:
Physically, I would like to implement a schedule with time and duration for a physical exercise in order to keep my body well-being to its optimal.
Secondly, I would like to be more practical about a chosen spiritual practice on a regular basis and connect myself with my very inner self and find peace and harmony in order to attain the psychological apogee that has always been there.
Lastly, not the least, I would like to start practicing a mind exercise such as meditation, and help shift my mind from a sedentary state to an ever exploring state in order to see what needed to be seen from a different perspective or to better say with a positive attitude.
Finally, after completing the exercise, my feeling was like I just detoxify myself, because I felt a lightness, a well-being that made me feel I could fly on top of the mountain just with the lifting of my soul. I felt that my body, mind, and soul became one forming a perfect harmony that lead to self-peace.

Hello everyone, once again, I would like to welcome everyone of you, and wish that we all have a profitable and very successful learning experience. I also want to tell you that nothing good comes easily, so use your wisdom to have patience and endurance and enjoy the course.
After listening to the "Journey" I felt such a freedom within myself that made both my soul and body feel so light that I felt that I could reach the sky with a strong confidence. In the journey, I felt a total controle over my body, my thoughts, and my spirit. This experience made me realize that we have an unlimited power over ourselves, both body and mind, but we just have to learn to explore this capacity and discover the mystery of our existence.
