Answer 1)
Health and Wellness professionals
are a role model for the population to whom they provide services. Developing physically, psychologically, and
spiritually benefit both clients and health professionals, because such
development give them confidence in their work, and the clients are convinced
about what you are doing for them. It is
obvious that “One cannot take others where one has never been, Dacher (2006). Health professionals must experience the
physical, psychological, and spiritual benefits in order to pass them on. To
achieve the goals you have developed for yourself you need motivation and
discipline. Without a sense of
motivation and discipline, you are bound to a scattered work which will result
in mediocrity. The area I need to work
on to fully achieve my goals is motivation and a sense of discipline, because
without them, I will definitely have a hindrance to achieve my highest
potential, because it comes step by step.
Answer 2)
Physically,
I assess myself by my weight as well as from a microscopic level, meaning that
I look up to my lab results to see if my electrolytes are in balance. This assessment gives me an idea of my health
condition, and how to continue to go about it.
I also assess myself physically, by my capacity to do activities within
a time frame limits, comparing to the hours of sleep I get.
Psychologically,
I look at my relationship with others, and how I handle difficulties or
conflict time. According to how I handle
the situation and the outcome, I know whether I am on the right path or not,
although it is not easy, because our bias nature tends to get on our way.
Spiritually,
I assess myself by the harmony that exist between me and my inner self, how
peaceful I am about my life and my surroundings. How do I react face to the world, how
confident I am about myself and toward my relationship with the world. From a
scale of “0 to 10” with 10 being the highest,
I score myself 6, 7, 7 respectively (physical, psychological,
spiritual).
Answer3)
My goal is
to have enough discipline into having a scheduled time for my physical
exercises, to use regular practices on a daily basis such as “Meditation” for
my spiritual life, and to enhance my practice of loving-kindness toward others
without bias in order to reach my potential for integral health. However, I need to broaden my source of
motivation in order to be successful into achieving my goals.
Answer 4)
My strategy
will be to implement a physical practice like exercises to enhance my physical
well-being while nourishing me mentally as well. A psychological practice that
will nourish my mind into positive perception, as well as a spiritual practice
like “Meditation to nourish the soul, because we are made of body, mind and
soul. We need the three of them to
achieve integral health. One doesn’t go without the other, and otherwise, we
would lose the real purpose of life.
Taking care of one and neglecting the other is a hindrance to total
development.
Answer5)
In the next
six months, I will do a reassessment from the same methods I have already
mentioned above to see if my strategy has worked toward progress, or whether I
have regression. I will do so by looking
at where I am and where I have been six months ago. This review will also give
me the opportunity to assess my own ability for self-strategy, or whether I
will need an outsider eye to guide me into achieving my goals.
Howdy!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree completely about taking a good look at the relationships you have with people. Some can be beneficial and some can be damaging. You actions and reactions also play a big role too.
